Mario S. Belaval — Special Advisor

Mario has served as Special Advisor to Miradero Capital since its inception in 2001, providing valuable advice in deal flow generation and portfolio management activities. He started his professional career with Citibank, N.A. Puerto Rico, where over a 12-year period he rose to head the bank's Corporate Group. In 1972, Mario started a 24-year career with Bacardi Corporation in Puerto Rico from where he retired as an Executive Vice President in 1996. He also served as Chairman of the Board until 2001.

Mario served as Chairman of the Board of Puerto Rico Venture Forum and is a member of the Board of Directors of Triple S Management Corporation, the Tax Free Puerto Rico Family of Funds (sponsored by UBS), and the Puerto Rico Investors Tax Free Family of Funds (sponsored jointly by UBS and Banco Popular de Puerto Rico). He is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College.
